HOW TO APPLY
Follow these 4 easy steps to apply for the 2018 FoodTrekking Awards.
When you are ready to apply, please pay for your application here first. Choose the appropriate category/categories for your entry/entries. Entries are priced separately for 1) destination marketing organizations and 2) all other business types. There are 14 total categories to choose from during the application process. You can enter in multiple categories with the same single application, but each category requires its own application fee (your application is reviewed separately with separate criteria in every category in which you submit). If you have chosen to submit in 2 or more categories and you want to use the same info for each application, then submit one application and choose all the categories you want at the end (remember, each category requires a separate application fee). If you want to use different information for applications in different categories, then please submit a unique application for each one. Be sure to save all of your work in a separate document for your later reference!

Current members of the World Food Travel Association should log into our online community and obtain your discount code to save US$40 (destination category) or save US$20 (all other business type categories) on your application. Within 24 hours (48 hours over weekends or holidays), we’ll email you instructions where to access the online application form.
After you’ve paid for your entry/entries, you should go here to start your application. You will need the password that was emailed to you after your payment was processed. If you did not get this email or cannot find it, please submit a ticket on our support portal.
Curious what kinds of questions are asked on the application? Read our Help article first. Basically, we try to get a sense of your business, your operations, the food/beverage experience that you offer (or the work you produce for journalists and tech companies), how you market and sell it, how your customers (readers/followers) engage in your experience or product, and how satisfied they are with your experience or work. There are opportunities to submit up to 3 URLs (best for links to videos, articles or product pages) or upload up to 10 files, each no larger than 5 MB in size (formats accepted are: JPG, PNG, GIF, TIF, PDF, PPT, PPTX, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, MP3, M3A). Note that you will not be able to upload video files (send us the links to the videos instead). Read about how judges score applications.
You can go back and review your entry/entries and make any changes you wish either within 14 days after you click “Submit Application” or November 19, 2017, whichever happens sooner. The final deadline to submit all applications is Sunday, November 19, 2017, 23:59 (11:59 PM) US Pacific Time.
Then sit back and wait. Judges will begin processing applications on Monday, November 20, 2017. Winners will be announced by 23:59 (11:59 PM) Thursday, January 4, 2018 US Pacific Time. Winners and non-winners will be notified simultaneously by email on January 4, 2018. GOOD LUCK! And remember, Eat Well, Travel Better!
